Altar Guild

       The Altar Guild of Christ Episcopal Church is comprised of dedicated ladies, communicants of Christ Church who faithfully serve all year giving their gifts of devotion, service and time.  The Altar Guild exists under the direction and guidance of the Rector to serve and prepare for all services held at Christ Episcopal Church. 

       Members of the Altar Guild prepare for the noon chapel service on Fridays, two church services held each Sunday, all other services to include marriages, baptisms, funerals and special religious observances held throughout the church year. 

       The Altar Guild members go about their work quietly with little notice and with reverence and dedication for the care of the altar, the sanctuary, the sacred vessels, the fair linens assisting the Rector with his vestments following church services and delivering altar flowers to the sick and shut in members of the congregation.
